Advanced Renamer

Advanced Renamer is a program for renaming multiple files and folders at once. By configuring renaming methods the names can be manipulated in various ways.

It is easy to set up a batch job using multiple methods on a large amount of files. The 14 different methods enables you to change the names, attributes, and timestamps of files in one go. The files can also be copied or moved to new locations based on information in the files.

With Advanced Renamer you can construct new file names by adding, removing, replacing, changing case, or giving the file a brand new name based on known information about the file.

Before performing the operations on the files you can verify that the output will be correct and if you perform the rename and regret it, you can undo the complete batch.

Ich nutze das Werkzeug hauptsächlich, um unsere Fotos umzubennen. Es ist sehr mächtig und kann (natürlich) EXIF-Daten auslesen, sowohl von Fotos als auch von Videos. Man kann mehrere (n) aufeinander aufbauende Methoden konfigurieren, beispielsweise

1. Entferne 7 Zeichen ab dem 3. Zeichen vom Ende des Dateinamens her
2. Ersetze „_“ durch „-„
3. Setze alle Zeichen auf klein (lower case)
4. Hänge bei Namens-Dopplung 2 Ziffern mit Trennzeichen „_“ an den Dateinamen an

Diese Funktion kannte ich selbst noch nicht: Anhand der GPS-Daten kann man den Dateinamen ergänzen um (u.a.) Country und City der Location. Ich habe das spaßeshalber mal mit ein paar Mallorca-Bildern ausprobiert – funzt 🙂 👍

Das Tool wird beständig weiterentwickelt, mit dem neuesten Update sind wieder neue Funktionalitäten hinzugekommen. Weiterhin existiert eine sehr ausführliche Hilfe zu allen Möglichkeiten.

Und: auch ohne Lizenz kann die Software problemlos ohne Einschränkung verwendet werden. Wirklich super fair.
